Advancement of Teams to Fill Bracket Slots (Cal Ripken Baseball and Babe Ruth Baseball Divisions) –

• The goal is to field a 16-team Southeast Region pool-play format tournament for Cal Ripken Baseball Division age groups, and an 8- or 10-team Southeast Region pool-play format tournament for the Babe Ruth Baseball Division age groups.
   
• The Cal Ripken Baseball State Champion and first runner-up teams from Northern Florida, Southern Florida, Georgia, Eastern North Carolina, Western North Carolina, South Carolina, Eastern Tennessee, Western Tennessee, and Virginia will advance to the Southeast Region tournament.
   
• The Babe Ruth Baseball Division State Champion from Northern Florida, Southern Florida, Georgia, Eastern North Carolina, Western North Carolina, South Carolina, Eastern Tennessee, and Western Tennessee will advance to the Southeast Region tournament. The State Champion and the State Runner-up from Virginia will advance to the Southeast Region tournament.
   
• If a State Champion (or State Runner-up if the State Champion does not advance) will not participate in a Southeast Region tournament and a team (or teams) is (are) needed to fill a bracket slot (or slots), the Southeast Region Commissioner will determine the team(s) to fill bracket slots.

• Waiting List teams are only accepted for the Rookies, 9-Year-olds, and 11-Year-olds invitational age groups. The process for advancing Waiting List teams is governed by the availability of slots and the date-time stamp of team registrations.
